The best game releases in 2020

2020 is definitely a very special year for the gaming market. Some of this, of course, is due to the launch of the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 that have been waiting for legions of fans around the world.

But that doesn’t mean that current consoles have been left out. With the 2019 news calendar lagging, this year has what it takes to be one of the busiest of recent times for video game lovers.

If you are a lover of this universe, how about joining us in discovering the games that have just been released and that are to come in the months to come?

Did you like it? So come on

the sagas that go on

To start our list, let’s go to the main releases of famous series!

Age of Empires IV (PC)

For those who have already missed one of the most famous strategy games in history, the wait could be over in 2020. Age of Empires IV doesn’t currently have a set date for the premiere (which has been dragging on since last year), but it looks like we’ll soon have access to priests, building systems, resources, and troops.

What do we already know about this release? Age of Empires IV will span multiple eras and the soundtrack will be by Mikolai Stroinski, the creator of the songs for The Witcher 3.

Final Fantasy VII Remake (Playstation 4)

After a long and gloomy winter (and of course a bit of drama from the producers) one of the most famous action RPGs is back. The revised version of Final Fantasy VII was given a modern look with real-time combat and pause.

Released in April of this year, the game has already become the most successful game in Square Enix history, with sales exceeding 5 million units.

Ah, it’s worth noting that the game has been broken down into parts, that is, more Final Fantasy is coming soon!

Dying Light 2 (Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC)

The sequel to Dying Light should hit the market in 2020 after several delays.

Techland developed action role-playing game and “Survival Horror” will put the player in tense and crucial situations, such as repairing the water supply of places. Each decision has different consequences and can change the course of history.

If you’re a fan of first-person gameplay and the “parkour” moves that the series allows, don’t worry! That essential part is back in Dying Light 2.

Halo: Infinite (Xbox Series X)

The long-awaited sequel to Halo 5: Guardians is finally coming out of the oven!

With multiple controversies affecting the game’s graphics, 343 Industries left some doubts and a great deal of curiosity in the air. Below this seems to be the change from closed chapters to open worlds.

The fear that December (release month) will arrive soon is great!

New universes to explore

Some 2020 releases may be the first of their titles, but they have everything to turn into great sagas and series.

Marvel’s Avengers (Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia)

After Spider-Man had a huge hit on PS4, Marvel games took it a step further and brought in Avengers, one of the most iconic comics of all time.

The main highlights of this game are: The player can experience the different super powers of each character, in addition to access to Kamala Khan, the iconic woman of Marvel.

The game arrives to the general public in August.

Elden Ring (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC)

It’s really impressive how eagerly this game has been waited considering that the developer has released very little information about it so far. Well, maybe that has an explanation: George RR Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki.

No, you didn’t read it wrong. This almost unimaginable combination of the creator of Game of Thrones and the heads of Dark Souls promises to present the audience with a game full of intense adventure and high fantasy.

What is expected from this release (which should arrive by December) is a world of blood, color and deep stories.

Cyberpunk 2077 (Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Xbox One and PC)

It’s official: no one can wait any longer for Cyberpunk 2077 to be released.

When CD Projekt announced the long-awaited game in 2013 (yes, seven years ago), fans couldn’t have imagined that it would take so long to get their hands on the action-RPG in the futuristic Night City.

But it seems that in November 2020 we will have access to the customizable protagonist, the dense metropolis and the first-person perspective presented by the producer.

Cross your fingers because the wait may be over!

A little bit of everything

This year is set to bring a lot of adventure, action and horror to the game market. But of course this universe also offers space for lighter, more creative and other games.

Microsoft Flight Simulator (Xbox One and PC)

Microsoft’s famous flight simulator franchise has been back with no updates since 2006!

With the advances in technology in recent years, the company was collecting data from satellites and bringing information from absolutely every airport in the world into the game. The result? The best thing to do is convince yourself!

The simulator will be launched in August. Keep an eye!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Nintendo Switch)

Lovers of Animal Crossing, which started there in 2001, can already enjoy the new version of the most popular simulation game on Nintendo Switch. New Horizons was released in March of this year and offers secluded islands to explore and lots of interaction with other players.

If you want to take a break from your head or want to spend a few days at home, venture into this colorful world full of possibilities!

Minecraft Dungeons (PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One)

One of the biggest and most famous games of the decade is with us! The update made by the studio brings small scenes and impressive lighting that did not exist in the first Minecraft.
